German Booklet: what goes up must go down..
For a short while, it seemed like a recent German stamp booklet was undergoing a nice price development.
Booklet number 43 namely (with stamps from the ‘Places of Interest’ series) was entirely sold out in February, though the it was released only nine months earlier. Traders quickly reacted and here and there amounts of money up to 25 euro were asked. There were also people willing to pay these sums…
Post services though have stopped this ; during the International Stamp Fair in Essen last April, the booklets were sold again for the normal price of 5,60 euro. A second printing had been ordered by the post services. And, dspite the efforts of the collectors, they could not find a difference between the first and second printing of the booklet.
