Diana Presentation Pack: 2800 % price increase
An English stamp folder (Presentation Pack), dedicated to Princess Diana, has done extremely well in the Stanley Gibbons catalogue.
In the 1999 edition, the folder was still £2,50 ; two years later it was already £60 and now, in the recently released 2002 edition, the wanted folder is already £70. In three years, the Presentation Pack increased in value for 2800%. The cause is obvious : an extremely limited number of copies of the folder (with a Welsh text) was produced. The English version of the folder is much cheaper. Back in 1998, the Welsh version of the folder could be bought for £1,65. Who at that time bought a number of them has done the right thing.
